My Life???

I just cannot live with the fact that my life has no great purpose. I feel I have to do something big. Something important. Something historical. Something unique and dangerous. I am sick and tired of just sitting around and not being able to do anything. I am fed up of watching my father's struggle for power. It hurts me from inside. Why does human life have to be so complicated and so flawed? I am confused. Day and night my ideas and thinking change according to the previous day's incidents. That keeps me confused as to what principles should I follow. My mind is like a wet cement right now and I want it to harden in the right way. I don't want it to be shaped and hardened in a harmful and bad way.

  1. Just remember that the most important part of pouring cement is keeping it a little moist as it dries. Otherwise you get cracks in the sidewalk.

  2. Thanks for the nice advise.
It just means that I have to leave some room for change and improvement. Keep it just a little wet. So that by time my ideologies and mentality changes a little for the better.
I guess only conservative people have hardened cemented minds...with cracks in them :-)

Thanks alot for the comment :-)

  3. You gave yourself the advice, I just told you a little bit about pouring cement. You've got nothing to worry about though. You're going to do big, important, historical, unique, and dangerous things. But right now is when you're pouring that cement. If there's nothing in there, you've got no need to worry about what form it takes. If you want to change where you are you have to be educated. You have to be able to prove that you are better at whatever the other guy is failing. You have that in you, just give it time. You're going to do amazing things in this world.

Think about how cool it'll be when I'm sitting at home watching CNN and can say "I know that guy who's saving Pakistan" or when I open National Geographic and you've invented the next life saving miracle drug. More than any individual I know, you have that potential. Don't worry about the small stuff. Just keep your head up and you'll be awesome!

Now, after all of please note that "Keep it just a little wet" is what she said. :)

  4. Maybe you should try to think like you laugh :)

This quote is from one of my favorite books... which you've read.

"Well, Pa, a woman can change better'n a man. A man lives sorta - well, in jerks. Baby's born or somebody dies, and that's a jerk. He gets a farm or loses it, and that's a jerk. With a woman, it's all in one flow, like a stream - little eddies and waterfalls - but the river, it goes right on. Woman looks at it thata way"

  6. Yes, it's from Grapes of Wrath. I love that book... it's so representative of the human condition in times of hardship, the resilience that the Joads show is so incredible. Kite Runner is still my all-time favorite book though. I still need to read A Thousand Splendid Suns. And IDK how many times I have to tell you, this is NOT Luke... Ok, ok, it's not Brooke or Megan either... It's me, Emily! hahaha I sure tricked you!

  8. Whatever, Ozzy! hahaha You know what your "...NOT!" jokes remind me of??? BORAT! hahahahaha

Andyways, on the Kite Runner note, I am reading A Thousand Splendid Suns right now! So far ait's good, but not quite at the Kite Runner level. I'll let you know when I get further into it though. I know that it's waymore interesting for you... and know ing you makes it much more interesting for me... but I do have a question! hahaha What does the suffix "jo" mean? They always call the girl "Miriam jo"...

  9. Jo would mean the same as Jan...Jan means "beloved one" and is comonly used in afghanistan.

and yeah Kite Runner is better than this one.
